Journey Through Moments

More fundamental than religion is our basic human spirituality. We have a basic human disposition towards love, kindness and affection, irrespective of whether we have a religious framework or not. When we nurture this most basic human resource – when we set about cultivating those basic inner values which we all appreciate in others, then we start to live spiritually.-DALAI LAMA

Little Joys

Walking outside after a strong rain, surrounded by the  humid atmosphere and taking few deep breaths of cold air and thinking beautiful thoughts brings little moments of joy to you.  Oh! how much I love a rainy day! Extremely deeply!

You are a combination
of thoughts
in habitual pattern

You are a combination
of minerals
in a unique pattern

You are in control
and not in control
at the same time

You vary based on
ups and downs
of minerals within.

Magical YOU.

Pool of fakers
appeared good
webbed together
colored majestically
created a fantasy world
of emptiness

bubbled are they
attired graciously
with garland of smiles
anxious, untrue words,
fiddly questions,
jealousy, hatred

acted effortlessly
entertained passionately
with festering words,
appalling hugs,
catholic laughter and true kisses.

pretense adorned them
slurped the poison of greed
still void, felt thirsty
was ravenous always
gobbled up, fed the lies
did lies, held
spread the lies
blind to lies

the wrath
solaced them
honesty, a funny myth
tact, the only truth
hurt to others, a sheer pain

prayed relentlessly
believed truly
considered sage
divine are those
for themselves

ran the race
created rivalry
always victors
always well-wishers
at the expense of others.

repeated the pattern
never knowing the aging
never humbled
never succumbing to awareness

silently I witnessed the race
never saw an yearning for love
or a tint of truth
always felt the coldness
filled with a miserable bareness.

Halloween Joke

We were on a cruise ship on a Halloween day. Most of the guests were dressed up. We met Jesus Christ in  casino. He was drinking beer and playing poker and loosing all the games badly. Now another dressed  up like a solider commented, “Christ, you really sucks”.

There is always a struggle between right and wrong in my mind. The interpretations or the factual aspects given for a right based on different viewpoints puts me into distress and confusion. There are times when I pick the incorrect. But eventually I tried to instill myself that truth is truth and no wrong can alive in truth. I could see it in karma/dharma/compassion. Stay in faith to stay with truth. It eventually returns the fruit and is sweet, which has ripple effects in our lives. After all we are sojourners.
